BREAKING NEWS: TWO MORE RIVERS LAWMAKERS JOIN CALL TO HALT IMPEACHMENT PROCESS AGAINST GOVERNOR FUBARA

Two More Rivers Lawmakers Urge Withdrawal of Impeachment Proceedings Against Governor Fubara

Two additional members of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Barile Nwakoh, representing Khana Constituency I, and Hon. Emilia Amadi, representing Obio/Akpor Constituency II, have publicly called on their colleagues to withdraw the ongoing impeachment proceedings against Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, Prof. Ngozi Odu.

The lawmakers urged the Assembly to embrace dialogue, restraint, and peace in the interest of stability and good governance in the state.

Their appeal comes barely 48 hours after two other members of the House made a similar call, suggesting a growing internal push to halt the impeachment process.

The development indicates increasing concern among some legislators over the political tension generated by the impeachment move and its potential impact on governance and public confidence in Rivers State.
