GLORYREIGN2026: FACEBOOK USER CRITICIZES TRADERS FOR CLOSING SHOPS TO JOIN PASTOR DAVID IBIYEOMIE'S GLORY REIGN MARKET RALLY

Pastor David Ibiyeomie, founder of Salvation Ministries, recently shared a post showing him in a marketplace promoting Glory Reign. The action itself has drawn attention online,

I came across a post by Pastor David Ibiyeomie, founder of Salvation Ministries, where he personally went to the market to promote his business, Glory Reign. To be clear, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. However, what caught my attention was a comment I saw under the post.

Someone wrote:
“Chai… if Papa fit go rally, even enter marketplace, who be me? Papa… me self go rally too. God bless you Papa.”

That comment immediately raised concerns.

Let’s be clear: there is nothing wrong with Pastor Ibiyeomie entering the market to promote his church or business. He is the owner and leader; he is carrying out his responsibility.
The problem is when followers use such actions as an excuse to abandon their own duties.

Tomorrow, this same person may shut down his small business or skip work, claiming he is “supporting Papa,” even though he is neither the owner of Salvation Ministries nor part of the Glory Reign management, and he is not being paid to be there.

Pastor Ibiyeomie is not neglecting his responsibilities—he is fulfilling them.  But many followers misinterpret this and turn it into an excuse to avoid personal responsibility, packaging laziness as spiritual loyalty.

Later, when things fall apart, the blame will shift to “Nigeria is hard” or “life no balance,” instead of admitting that time and energy were wasted chasing shadows rather than building their own lives.
