"GOD TOLD ME NOT TO COLLECT OFFERINGS" - BISHOP OYEDEPO'S SON ISAAC SAYS

Pastor Isaac Oyedepo, founder of Isaac Oyedepo Evangelistic Ministries, has announced that his ministry will commence Sunday services in Abuja, with a directive not to collect offerings.

According to Church Times, Oyedepo disclosed this in an online message monitored on Tuesday. In the video, posted on Sunday, January 11, the pastor explained that the decision followed specific instructions he said he received from God.

Oyedepo stated that the core mandate of his ministry is discipleship and the equipping of believers to genuinely follow Jesus Christ, rather than an emphasis on financial practices.

Addressing the issue of church offerings, he said, “God gave me specific instructions not to collect offerings.”

While noting that there is nothing wrong with collecting offerings in other Christian ministries, Oyedepo stressed that, for this particular assignment, his focus must remain solely on the spiritual growth and development of the people.

The announcement came alongside the formal launch of the ministry’s Sunday services, which are scheduled to hold weekly in Abuja.

Born on February 26, 1985, Pastor Oyedepo officially began his independent evangelical ministry on November 28, 2023, after years of involvement in Christian leadership and outreach.
