RIVERS ASSEMBLY MINORITY LEADER LEADS CALL TO REVERSE IMPEACHMENT MOVE AGAINST GOVERNOR FUBARA

Members of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Sylvanus Enyinna Nwankwo, Omuma Constituency (Minority Leader) and Hon. Peter Abbey (Degema Constituency), have called on His Excellency, Governor Siminalayi Fubara to embrace peace, uphold the Constitution, and respect the separation of powers.

At a press briefing, the lawmakers urged restraint and dialogue amid the ongoing impeachment process, revealing that elders and leaders have appealed for a peaceful resolution. They also appealed to fellow lawmakers to reconsider the impeachment and allow the Governor a third chance to correct past actions, in the interest of peace, unity, and democratic stability in Rivers State.
