BREAKING NEWS: MAJOR DEFECTION IN JIGAWA: APC, NNPP, PDP BIGWIGS JOIN ADC

A significant wave of political defections has hit Jigawa, with prominent figures from the All Progressives Congress (APC), New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) joining the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Former Jigawa Central Senator Sabo Muhammad Nakudu, who recently defected from APC, is leading the charge. He cited a desire for a more inclusive political platform focused on grassroots development and internal democracy as his reason for leaving APC.

Other notable defectors include Bala Ibrahim Chamo, former Chairman of Dutse Local Government, and Zakari Kafin Hausa, former Special Adviser to Governor Malam Umar Namadi. Nakudu has formally declared his intention to contest for the Jigawa governorship seat in the 2027 general elections under the ADC platform.

This mass defection is expected to intensify political competition in Jigawa ahead of the 2027 elections.
