HON. TAMBARI SYDNEY DISTRIBUTES OVER 15,000 WRAPPERS TO COMMUNITY IN NEW YEAR CELEBRATION


On January 4, 2026, former Rivers State Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Tambari Sydney, distributed relief items, including over 15,000 wrappers, to members of his community as part of activities marking the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

Hon. Tambari Sydney, widely recognized for his humanitarian and philanthropic contributions, served as Commissioner for Environment from 2024 to 2025 under the administration of Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara. He also previously held the position of State Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Addressing beneficiaries during the presentation, Hon. Tambari explained that the gesture was aimed at sharing the joy of the festive season with his people and reaffirming his commitment to community development. 

He added that the initiative was also intended to galvanize grassroots support for Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara’s backing of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.
