"TAMBARI STEVE RECOUNTS HOW EMMANUEL JOHN, ESQ BECAME THE FIRST MAN TO BUY A TABLE TICKET AT HIS EVENT AS HE CELEBRATES HIS BIRTHDAY."

A legal practitioner and Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association Port Harcourt Branch, Emmanuel John, has been celebrated on his birthday by media personality and event convener, Tambari Steve, who described him as a pillar of support in his life and career.

Tambari Steve, the convener of the annual event “A Nite With Tambari Steve,” shared a heartfelt tribute recounting how he first met Emmanuel John in 2014 during his days as an agent at the Rivers State Board of Internal Revenue Service.

According to him, he used to run deliveries for the legal practitioner with his bicycle at the time, an encounter that later grew into a strong mentorship and support system.

He noted that Emmanuel John quickly took interest in his work and began to recommend and support his initiatives.

He further revealed that during the 5th edition of “A Nite With Tambari Steve,” Emmanuel John was the first person to purchase a table ticket for the event and has remained a consistent supporter ever since.

“Since then, he has never missed any edition of the event. Even when he cannot attend physically, he still sends his support,” Tambari Steve stated.

He also acknowledged the numerous recommendations and financial support he has received from the senior lawyer over the years, describing them as running into millions of naira.

Tambari Steve added that Emmanuel John’s consistent presence at the event from 2018 to date is a testament to the strong relationship they share.

Describing him as more than a father figure, he called on fans and supporters to join him in celebrating the respected legal practitioner.

Emmanuel John, Esq., currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the NBA Port Harcourt Branch.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has revoked the operating licenses of forty-six (46) Microfinance Banks with effect from July 1, 2026. A statement released by the apex bank today July 1, says the revocation was approved by the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Olayemi Cardoso, following the banks’ failure to meet the regulatory requirements for continued operation as licensed financial institutions. According to the revocation order, the action became necessary due to Insufficient assets to meet liabilities, Closure of operations without the CBN approval, Inactivity and cessation of financial intermediation, Failure to commence operations within 12 months of licence approval, and Failure to maintain minimum capital funds unimpaired by losses. The Federal Government has announced plans to discontinue the policy separating the administration of Junior Secondary Schools (JSS) and Senior Secondary Schools (SSS), describing it as an ineffective reform that has contributed to rising school dropout rates. Minister of Education, Dr. Olatunji Alausa, made the announcement on Tuesday in Abuja, saying the policy, which created separate management structures for JSS and SSS, has failed to achieve its objectives.
