TINUBU POLICY KILLED MY MOTHER. SHE WAS HEALTHY BEFORE HE CAME TO POWER - AMAECHI

Former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, has blamed the economic policies of President Bola Tinubu’s administration for the death of his mother, claiming that the rising cost of medication made it increasingly difficult to provide for her healthcare.

Speaking during an interview, Amaechi disclosed that his mother was healthy before Tinubu assumed office, insisting that her death could not simply be attributed to old age.

When the interviewer suggested that his mother had lived to an advanced age and questioned whether the responsibility of caring for her rested solely on him, Amaechi pushed back, saying he had done everything within his means to look after her.

“My mother was healthy!” he declared, adding that after Tinubu came into power, purchasing medication for her became difficult.

He further argued that the rising cost of living and economic hardship had affected many households, leaving people struggling to afford essential medicines and healthcare.

Defending his position, the former governor cited figures he attributed to the National Bureau of Statistics, claiming that Nigeria spent ₦200 billion importing drugs in the last quarter, while 40 per cent of finished goods were imported.
