Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has sacked two of his political aides. This action followed their participation in the recent PDP convention in Ibadan, Oyo State, which was contrary to his instructions.

The individuals who have been relieved of their duties are Joseph Jacob Ikpak, who served as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor for Support Services, and Felix Ekuri, who held the position of Special Assistant for Neighbourhood Watch.

 The Federal Government has abolished the use of indigenous languages as a medium of instruction in Nigerian schools, making English the sole language of teaching from early childhood to tertiary level. Former Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye, has publicly criticized the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for denying that he insulted a Naval officer during a recent confrontation in Abuja. The incident occurred on Tuesday, November 11, when Wike visited a disputed plot of land and ordered the halt of construction. Naval Lieutenant A.M.
