JUST IN: ABIA STATE GOVERNOR INCREASES YOUTH CORPERS' STIPEND FROM N4,000 TO N50,000 | #RWGBLOG

Abia State Governor, His Excellency Dr. Alex C. Otti has approved a major increase in the stipend for Youth Corpers serving in the state. Previously, Corpers were being paid just N4,000, a situation that shocked the Governor when it was brought to his attention.

Determined to correct the anomaly, Governor Otti directed that the stipend be reviewed to ensure it has a meaningful economic impact on Corpers. As a result, the monthly allowance has now been increased to N50,000, a rise of over 1,200%.

Governor Otti said this move is part of his commitment to improving the welfare of those residing in Abia, correcting past injustices, and building a new, progressive Abia State

A social media commentator, named certified courtist took to his facebook page this morning addressing the recent collapse of the water tank in Ogoniland which was commissioned four days ago. He wrote When I woke up this morning, I was expecting to see a letter of resignation from the Project Coordinator Prof. Nenibarini Zabbey and BOT Chairman Emmanuel Deeyah of HYPREP,  over the recent collapse of  the water tank which they commissioned four days ago. Quite sad, they are still there as it is the Nigerian case. It is shameful how these men would get away with this.
