A federal high court in Abuja has restrained the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from holding its 2025 national convention billed for Ibadan, Oyo state, between November 15 and 16.

The court also barred the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from supervising, monitoring or recognising the outcome of the convention if held.

Peter Lifu, presiding judge, issued the order on Tuesday while delivering a ruling in an application filed by Sule Lamido, former governor of Jigawa state.

A social media commentator, named certified courtist took to his facebook page this morning addressing the recent collapse of the water tank in Ogoniland which was commissioned four days ago. He wrote When I woke up this morning, I was expecting to see a letter of resignation from the Project Coordinator Prof. Nenibarini Zabbey and BOT Chairman Emmanuel Deeyah of HYPREP,  over the recent collapse of  the water tank which they commissioned four days ago. Quite sad, they are still there as it is the Nigerian case. It is shameful how these men would get away with this. I have consistently raised alarm on how these guys keeps doing substandard jobs, while huge sums are earmarked for it.
