American rapper Onika Maraj-Petty, known globally as Nicki Minaj, used her platform at the United Nations to spotlight escalating v+olence against Christians in Nigeria, urging world leaders to take immediate action.

While speaking at the UN, Minaj said, “I would like to thank President Trump for prioritizing this issue and for his leadership on the global stage in calling for urgent action to defend Christians in Nigeria.” She described the situation in stark terms, adding, “In Nigeria, Christians are being targeted, driven from their homes and k+lled.

Churches have been b¥rnt, families have been t+rn apart and entire communities live in fear constantly because of how they pray.  Sadly, this problem is not only a growing problem in Nigeria, but also in so many other countries across the world, and it demands urgent action.”

Minaj stressed that the issue should not be seen through a political or divisive lens, but rather as a humanitarian crisis. “And I want to be clear, Protecting Christians in Nigeria is not about taking sides, or dividing people. It is about uniting humanity. Nigeria is a beautiful nation with deep faith tradition and lots of beats Barbs that I can’t wait to see.

We saw the thr+ats clearly before us and chose not to look the other way.” Her remarks have drawn global attention, amplifying calls for stronger international intervention to address religious persecution.
