The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has suspended the planned nationwide enforcement of the Tinted Glass Permit policy earlier scheduled to commence on January 2, 2026. The Force had initially announced on December 15, 2025, that it would resume enforcement of the policy as part of efforts to enhance public safety and internal security. In compliance with the directive, the NPF entered an appearance in court, filed preliminary objections, and applied for the vacation of the interim order. The matter has since been adjourned to January 20, 2026, for further proceedings. Consequently, the Police have placed the enforcement of the Tinted Glass Permit policy on hold nationwide, strictly adhering to the subsisting court order. The Inspector-General of P...

He went further to explain that excessive financial spending by men can weaken commitment. “When you’re the one doing all the spending, it’s easier for them to leave anytime,” he said, adding that a lack of personal investment makes walking away less difficult. GehGeh clarified that his comments were based on observation rather th...
Prophet Ekong Ituen has issued a stern warning to Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, stating that his tenure in office may be coming to an end due to alleged neglect of spiritual guidance. According to the cleric, Governor Fubara allegedly ignored several spiritual directives aimed at safeguarding his political future. Prophet Ituen claimed that revelations in the spiritual realm indicate that the governor could either face impeachment or be denied the party ticket for a second term. He further called on Nigerians to pray fervently to avert what he described as an impending political crisis in Rivers State. The prophet also referenced an earlier prophecy in which he reportedly predicted the governor’s impeachment attempt. He noted that the Rivers State House of Assembly acted in line with that prediction by serving the governor a notice of impeachment, adding that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu later intervened by declaring a state of emergency, which ultimately pr...
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has said that the reported ₦600 billion war chest allegedly being amassed by Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, will not guarantee his re-election in 2027. The faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) loyal to Nyesom Wike has asked Ajibola Basiru, national secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to apologise to the FCT minister within 48 hours. On Monday, Basiru asked Wike to resign his appointment and focus on what he described as an “obsession” with Rivers state politics. Wike had asked the APC national secretary to stay off Rivers politics. In a statement issued on Tuesday and signed by Etim Isong, factional zonal publicity secretary of the PDP south-south, the faction condemned Basiru’s “personal attack” on Wike. The group said Basiru’s remarks were inappropriate and capable of undermining the administration of President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 election. The statement said it was perplexing that Basiru, who “failed to produce a governor for the APC” in Osun state in 2023, would seek to question the political relevance of Wike in Rivers state. The faction said Basiru’s suggestion that Wike’s suppor...
