READ A DEEP BIRTHDAY MESSAGE FROM A CLUB PRESIDENT TO THE VICE PRESIDENT | #RWGBLOG

In the early hours of today, the President of the Fajiers Club, Mr. Tambari Steve, took to his social media handle to share a lengthy and heartfelt birthday message dedicated to Miss Happiness Jacob, the Vice President of the club.

It will be recalled that just a few weeks ago, the club president also shared a reflection on his leadership journey within the organization.


He wrote:

I usually find it difficult to write long birthday messages, but I have to break that tradition today—because of you.

You deserve more than just birthday wishes; you deserve every good thing for the role you’ve played since the very day I met you.

Having you come onboard as my Vice President in the Fajiers Club was truly a blessing to me and to the entire Fajiers family. You have consistently stood by me, fought alongside me, and defended what our members have built over time—even when others tried to tear it down.

Not once have you given up on me or on the leadership, despite the side talks and challenges. I’ve asked you many times why you believe in me and support my leadership so strongly, and all you ever say is, “You are a great man.”
Thank you for this unwavering, unconditional loyalty.

Today, I joined the host of heaven to celebrate you. You are truly what people call “beauty with brains.” There is never a dull moment with you—your intelligence shines effortlessly.

PRESIDENT TINUBU NOMINATES ABE AS CHAIR OF NUPRC, SEEKS SENATE CONFIRMATION

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has written two letters to the Senate, seeking the appointment of Senator Abe as Chairman of the Board of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).   Senator Magnus Abe, who represented Rivers South East in the Senate for two terms, is a former NNPC board member and current chairman of the National Agency of the Great Green Wall.   The President urged the Senate to approve the nominees expeditiously.   Before now, the Senate had confirmed Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan as the chief executive officer (CEO) of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).   The President's announcement was signed by Bayo Onanuga Special Adviser to the President, (Information & Strategy).

Rivers State Executive Council (EXCO) has approved a proposed ₦1.85 trillion budget for the 2026 fiscal year. The budget is tagged “Budget of Resilience for Growth and Development.” The approval was given on Friday, January 2, 2026, at the EXCO meeting held at Government House, Port Harcourt, and chaired by Governor Siminalayi Fubara. Speaking after the meeting, the Special Adviser on Economic Matters, Prof. Peter Medee, said the budget will be used to complete ongoing projects and settle outstanding obligations of the state. He said key areas of focus include infrastructure, health, education, agriculture, youth empowerment, human capacity development, culture, tourism, and ICT.
