RIVERS STATE YOUTH LEADERS APOLOGIES TO FCT MINISTER WIKE, CALLS FOR NAVAL OFFICER, YERIMA DISMISSAL AND PERSECUTION. | #RWGBLOG

To the Esteemed Citizens of Nigeria,

I am writing to extend my sincerest apologies on behalf of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) for the recent misconduct of Mr. Am Yerima. The behavior exhibited was unacceptable and does not reflect the values and principles of Nigerian youth stand.

We are deeply concerned about the disrespect shown to His Excellency, NYESOM EZENWO WIKE, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), by an individual purporting to be associated with any meaningful Nigerian. We condemn any form of disrespect towards our leaders and dignitaries, and we urge all young people in our society to be respectful and courteous in their interactions with others.

The actions of Mr. Am Yerima do not represent the views and ideals of the National Youth Council of Nigeria. We distance ourselves from his utterances and actions, and we assure the public that we are taking necessary steps to ensure that such incidents do not recur in the future.

We apologize to the general public, particularly to the FCT Minister, for any offense or discomfort caused by Mr. Am Yerima's actions. We recognize the importance of maintaining respect and decorum in interactions with others, and we will work to promote a culture of respect and dignity among young people in our society.

We request that Mr. Am Yerima offer a formal apology to the FCT minister within 14 days; failing which, the Nigerian youth will disassociate themselves from the person and initiate dismissal proceedings.

Once again, we apologize for the misconduct and any offense caused. We remain committed to promoting the welfare and interests of Nigerian youths and contributing to the development of our great nation.

Sincerely,

Amb. Bestman Innocent Amadi
Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Rivers State Chapter.
