BREAKING NEWS: 2019 GUBERNATORIAL CANDIDATE ENGR. RICHARD DEEKAE DEFECTS FROM ADC TO APC FOR THE SECOND TIME IN ONE YEAR
The 2019 gubernatorial candidate, Engr. Kiadun Richard Deekae (MNSE), has officially resigned from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and rejoined the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a resignation letter dated December 12, 2025, addressed to the State Chairman and the Ward 9 Chairman of Khana Local Government Area, Engr. Deekae described the decision as a difficult one, citing personal reasons which were not disclosed in the letter.
Sources revealed that his move was triggered by the recent defection of Governor Siminalayi Fubara from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC.
Engr. Deekae expressed deep appreciation to the leadership and members of the ADC for their support and commitment while working with him, wishing the party well in its future endeavors.
It will be recalled that earlier in 2025, Engr. Deekae defected from the APC to the ADC, making this his second party switch within the year.
