BREAKING NEWS: TWO DEAD AS ANTHONY JOSHUA SURVIVES MOTOR ACCIDENT ON LAGOS-IBADAN EXPRESSWAY
World-renowned boxer Anthony Joshua was involved in a serious road accident on Monday in Makun, Ogun State. Eyewitnesses say the cr@sh occurred around 11 a.m. along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, near Danco Filling Station before the Sagamu Interchange.
Joshua was traveling in a Lexus Jeep (number plate KR* *50 HN) that reportedly collided with a stationary truck. The vehicle carried four occupants, including Joshua, who was seated behind the driver. Two people the passenger beside Joshua and another in the front seat d+ed on the spot, according to eyewitness Adeniyi Orojo, who assisted in the rescue and flagged down help until officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps arrived.
The incident involved a two-vehicle convoy, with Joshua’s security detail following in the second vehicle. Eyewitnesses describe the scene as chaotic, with rescue efforts beginning immediately after the collision.
Fans have expressed concern on social media, while authorities continue investigations. Attempts to reach TRACE Commandant Akinbiyi Babatunde for updates were unsuccessful, and the Ogun State Police spokesperson, Oluseyi Babaseyi, confirmed the crash but promised further information soon.
Joshua’s condition has not been officially confirmed, and more updates are expected as authorities continue their investigation into the cause of the cr@sh.
