The gathering was a spiritually refreshing experience, marked by a strong sense of God’s presence and fellowship as participants shared a meal together. A major highlight of the event was the testimony session, during which many attendees shared uplifting experiences that strengthened faith and renewed confidence in God’s divine guidance.

CHRISTMAS IS UNBIBLICAL - PASTOR WILLIAMS FOLORUNSHO KUMUYI

Pastor William Folorunsho Kumuyi, General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, has once again clarified the church’s stance on Christmas.  He emphasized that since the ministry’s inception, they have never organized a Christmas retreat, instead holding what they call a “December retreat.”  According to Pastor Kumuyi, the church does not celebrate Christmas because it originates from what he describes as an idolatrous background.  He asserted that any attempt to introduce elements associated with the so-called “mystery Babylon” into the church, including Christmas, is strictly rejected, reaffirming that the practice is unbiblical.

APC NATIONAL SECRETARY ENDORSES GOVERNOR FUBARA FOR SECOND TERM

The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Ajibola Basiru, on Monday, expressed support for Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, ahead of the 2027 general elections. Basiru is urging residents of the state to rally behind the APC, President Bola Tinubu, and Governor Fubara, describing the governor’s performance as commendable. He praised Governor Fubara for what he says are visible improvements in governance and quality project delivery across the state.  The APC National Secretary spoke in Port Harcourt during the inauguration of the newly completed Permanent Secretaries’ Quarters at Elimgbu in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area. Basiru describes Rivers State as a model of APC-led governance and says the achievements recorded under Fubara reflected the party’s focus on people-centred leadership.

SHEIKH GUMI URGES FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO IMMEDIATELY SUSPEND MILITARY OPERATIONS WITH THE U.S. AFTER REPORTED AIRSTRIKE

Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi has called on the Federal Government to immediately halt all military cooperation with the United States following reported US airstrikes. Gumi warned that American involvement could worsen Nigeria’s security challenges and undermine national sovereignty. Gumi made the call in a statement posted on his Facebook page on Friday. The EFCC has also released the list of properties valued at N212.8billion, which were mostly acquired during Malami's eight years (2015-2023) in office as Attorney-General of the Federation. The properties, which include hotels, residential buildings, lands, schools, and a printing press, are scattered across Kebbi, Kano, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). BREAKING NEWS: FEDERAL HIGH COURT BARS POLICE FROM ENFORCING TINTED GLASS PERMITS NATIONWIDE

A Federal High Court judgment delivered today, Wednesday, December 17, 2025, has officially banned the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and all officers from enforcing tinted glass permit policies. The court, presided over by Justice Joe Egwu, also barred the police from harassing, arresting, detaining, or extorting motorists and citizens under the guise of implementing the policy. The injunction further restrains the police from using the Parkway Projects Account a private contractor’s account for any government business until the substantive suit is heard and determined. The order followed an application filed by Mr. Israel Joe in suit HOR/FHR/M.3/2025, represented by Mr. Kunle Edun, SAN, and other lawyers. "I AM NIGERIA'S MOST ABUSED POLITICIAN AFTER PRESIDENT TINUBU" - FCT MINISTER, WIKE SAYS

The Minister of Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Chief Nyesom Wike, has asserted that he is the most abused politician in the country, after President Bola Tinubu. This was as the Chairman, South-South Development Commission, SSDC, and erstwhile Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Chibudom Nwuche, has said that he and other political leaders in Rivers State would continue to support Wike. Wike, however, noted that his support for President Bola Tinubu has remained stable, adding that in 2023 those who now claim support for the president were no where to be found. Wike spoke, Saturday, at the country home of Nwuche at Ochigba Community in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State, at the Thanksgiving Service of the Chairman of SSDC and his family. The FCT minister, who spoke while addressing political leaders of the LGA in a brief meeting, said he is the most abused politician, adding that those who fail to keep to agreement resort to abuses.
