JUST IN: AFTER MONTHS OF TENSION, DR. FABEKE AND KHANA CHAIRMAN DR. BARIERE REACH RECONCILIATION | #RWGBLOG

Dr. Fabeke Douglas has confirmed that a reconciliation process has been concluded between himself, his team, and the Chairman of Khana Local Government Council, Hon. Dr. Bariere Thomas DSSR, following efforts aimed at promoting peace and unity in Khana.

It will be recalled that months earlier, Dr. Fabeke had raised allegations against the Executive Chairman over an incident said to have occurred during a monthly prayer meeting in Bori, the traditional headquarters of Ogoniland.
Speaking after the reconciliation, Dr. Fabeke acknowledged the role played by relevant stakeholders in facilitating the peace process. He expressed appreciation to the Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga A. Adepoju, Assistant Commissioner of Police Lyke Sylvanus Okoro, DSP Iyeme, and ASO Tony for their involvement.
According to him, the reconciliation initiative is intended to be inclusive and focused on the overall interests and development of the Khana people. He also noted that the outcome of the process is expected to contribute to improved cooperation and progress within the local government area.
