"SO-CALLED GOVERNOR" REMARK UNACCEPTABLE - DR. FABEKE DOUGLAS SLAMS VICTOR GIADOM

Dr. Fabeke Douglas has criticized the recent statement credited to Chief Victor Giadom, describing it as surprising and uncharacteristic of a leader known for refinement and careful choice of words.

He noted that referring to the Governor as a “so-called Governor” was inappropriate and amounted to a personal attack rather than constructive political engagement.
According to Dr. Douglas, politics should focus on evaluating leadership performance, not trading insults.
He expressed disappointment that some individuals from Ogoni have descended into name-calling, stressing that political discourse should be guided by decorum, respect, and a commitment to societal progress.
He further emphasized that the Governor of Rivers State deserves the same respect accorded to past leaders of the state.
Instead of criticizing the current administration, Dr. Douglas urged political aspirants to clearly present their vision and plans to the people of Rivers State, adding that the ongoing tension is unnecessary.
