Popular cleric, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has stirred controversy after making remarks about Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.

 According to the cleric, the governor’s present political struggles are a result of actions from a supposed past life, insisting that even the backing of all APC governors would not change his fate.

Primate Ayodele further suggested that in another lifetime, Fubara should aspire to be as influential as his political ally and former governor, Nyesom Wike.

The comments have since sparked reactions online, with critics accusing the cleric of making statements that mock Christian doctrine and promote spiritual sensationalism.
