PRIMATE AYODELE TO KWANKWASO: I NEVER DEFAMED YOU - I ONLY SHARED PROPHECY RECEIVED FROM GOD

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has dismissed allegations of defamation made against him by Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano State.

Kwankwaso, who is reported to be the running mate of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), had threatened to file a N10 billion defamation lawsuit against Ayodele over remarks he described as defamatory.

However, Ayodele has denied the allegations and maintained that he did not defame the former governor.

The Abia State Government has announced a ban on the operation of commercial motorcycles, popularly known as okada, within the metropolitan areas of Umuahia, Aba, and Ohafia. The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olaka Nwogu, winner of the Rivers South East Senatorial District bye-election held on Saturday. The Returning Officer for the election, Professor Rosemary Ogu, announced the result at the collation centre located at the Khana Local Government Secretariat in Bori, Rivers State. According to the final declaration, Olaka Nwogu of the PDP secured a total of 46,961 votes to emerge victorious in the keenly contested poll. He defeated his closest opponent, Osarokaka Ebenezer Erewari of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who polled 1,647 votes.
