Comrade Mercy Reginald Otuene, widely known as Sista Mercie, has addressed the social media reports accusing her of impersonation within the PMAN Rivers State leadership. She firmly denied the allegations, insisting that she remains the sole legally recognized administrator of PMAN in the state.

She urged the public to ignore the circulating misinformation, reassuring members and stakeholders of her unwavering dedication to the association’s progress.

This clarification comes a week after she publicly announced her appointment on social media—a development that triggered mixed reactions and claims challenging her legitimacy.

Speaking in an interview with RwGBlog News, Comrade Mercy reiterated that she is the authentic administrator of PMAN Rivers State. She referenced an interlocutory injunction issued by the National Industrial Court, Lagos, with Suit No: NICN/LA/48/2025, delivered by Hon. Justice M.N. Esowe on March 13, 2025.

The court barred Mr Fruitful Mekwunye and twelve others from accessing the Nigerian Music House, or any property, asset nor structure of PMAN nationwide.

The court also barred the Trade Union from recognising Mr Fruitful Mekwunye and twelve others from recognising them, except the legitimate leadership of PMAN led by Mr Pretty Okafor
