JUST IN: WEDDING PLANNER LEAKED MY PLAN TO REMARRY - PASTOR CHRIS OKAFOR

The founder of Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry, Pastor Chris Okafor, has responded to allegations made against him by actress Doris Ogala, describing the claims as inconsistent and malicious.

Speaking to journalists in Lagos on Thursday, Okafor addressed accusations that he was involved in the d+ath of Ogala’s brother, had a long-term affair with her, and failed to fulfill a promise of marriage.

Reacting to the controversy, he said: “The same person who accused me of m¥rder is the same person crying that I want to abandon her and marry someone else. How could she want to marry someone who allegedly k+lled her brother?” He added that “there is so much about the matter than meets the ordinary eye, and so many unanswered questions and glaring lies.”

He further alleged that his ex-wife joined the accusations, claiming he attempted to defile one of their daughters. According to him, “The same ex-wife and daughter have gone to a popular blogger to ask that I pay for their school fees and upkeep abroad of about N80 million. The same father trying to defile them? Which woman will do that?” He added. 

Okafor dismissed the allegations as false and part of a coordinated attempt to damage his reputation.

The Aleto community in Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State has renewed its call for transparency, accountability and justice over funds allegedly allocated to landowners and host communities connected to Indorama Eleme Petrochemicals, Fertiliser and Super-Packaging companies. The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the de@th of 23-year-old Faith Ajoke Alayande, a student of the Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus, Victoria Island. Alayande was reportedly found de@d within the hostel premises on Friday, August 7, 2026, after she allegedly jumped from the rooftop of a four-storey hostel building. According to the police, a s¥ic+de note was reportedly discovered by her hostel mate and a relative, who began searching for her before she was allegedly found after the incident. The matter was reported to the Victoria Island Police Division by the hostel’s Chief Matron at about 6:30 a.m. Police officers subsequently visited the scene and evacuated Alayande’s body to a morgue for preservation.
