OVER 10,000 MEMBERS OF PORT HARCOURT TOWNSHIP UNITED PRESSURE GROUP ENDORSE GOV. FUBARA'S SECOND TERM, WARN RIVERS ASSEMBLY


On Saturday, January 17, 2026, over ten thousand members of the Port Harcourt Township United Pressure Group converged to formally kick off their activities for the year.

The group, known for its advocacy for good governance and strong support for Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, began the year with visible strength, unity, and commitment as members turned out in large numbers.
As part of the event, food items including rice and meat were distributed to all members, courtesy of Hon. Tekena Obosi, in appreciation of their unwavering support for the group and Governor Fubara.

Speaking at the gathering, the President Hon. Prince John, reiterated his commitment to effective leadership and assured members that Governor Fubara would always recognize and value their continuous support.
He also warned members of the Rivers State House of Assembly to exercise caution, stressing that any further attempt to impeach the governor would be met with a mass occupation of the Assembly complex by the group.
In his closing remarks, the President reaffirmed the group’s total support and endorsement of Governor Siminalayi Fubara for the 2027 re-election. He further urged members to also support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Fubara in their bid for a second term.
