RIVERS POLITICS: MAGNUS ABE DECLARES WIKE LEADER OF RENEWED HOPE, DISMISSES ANY DISPUTE

Senator Magnus Abe has reaffirmed that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Chief Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike (CON, GSSRS), remains the undisputed leader of the Renewed Hope political family in Rivers State.

According to the senator, there is no confusion or internal dispute regarding the leadership structure of the group, stressing that all members clearly understand and accept the roles being played by various stakeholders within the political movement.

Justice Mohammed Umar of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday threatened to commit the lead defence lawyer to politician and online publisher, Omoyele Sowore, Marshall Abubakar, for contempt over rudeness in court. For raising his voice in court, the judge ordered Sowore’s lawyer to “come out and kneel down” in open court. Other lawyers, however, quickly prevailed upon the judge to forgive their errant colleague.
