Two young content creators from Ogoniland in Rivers State are currently trending across social media platforms for producing comedy skits in their indigenous Ogoni language.

The duo, popularly known as Akobee and Godswill, have captured the attention of online audiences with their unique storytelling style and cultural authenticity.

Their decision to create content in their native dialect has set them apart in Nigeria’s highly competitive digital entertainment space.

Their skits, which reflect everyday life and cultural experiences in Ogoniland, have recently gained significant momentum, attracting growing engagement and praise from viewers who appreciate the preservation and promotion of local language and tradition.

Both creators hail from Bua Kaani community in Ogoniland, Rivers State, and are students of Ken Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic.

Their rising popularity highlights the increasing influence of indigenous-language content in Nigeria’s social media landscape.
