POLICE ARREST WIFE FOR ALLEGEDLY STABBING IMMIGRATION OFFICER HUSBAND OVER CLAIMS OF INFIDELITY.

The Abia State Police Command has arrested a woman for allegedly k+lling her husband, an Immigration officer, over claims of infidelity.

According to LIB, the officer, Chidiebere James, serving at the Abia State Command, was st@bbed to d+ath by his wife after a domestic dispute at Umuihi, Umuogba Ekeoba in Ohuhu, Umuahia North Local Government Area. The incident happened in the early hours of Monday, February 16, 2026.

The conflict reportedly began on Sunday following an argument about their sick child. The wife accused her husband of failing to provide funds for the child’s medical treatment and alleged he was unfaithful after allegedly discovering incriminating messages on his phone.

State Commissioner of Police, Danladi Isa, confirmed the arrest on Tuesday, saying, “The suspect was promptly arrested and is being interrogated at the State CID for a case of m¥rder.”

The shocking incident has plunged the Umuihi Umuogba community into mourning, with residents expressing concern over the increasing cases of domestic vi%lence and aggre§§ive behavior among married women nationwide.
