MIDDLE EAST WAR DAY 17: PRESIDENT TRUMP HAS NOW CALLED ON NATO TO HELP THE UNITED STATES IN THE WAR IN IRAN.

Trump warns that NATO faces a “very bad” future if U.S. allies fail to assist in opening up the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump says he is talking to countries about "policing of the strait" and that the U.S. is always there for NATO including helping with Ukraine, "It'd be interesting to see what country wouldn't help us with a very small endeavour, which is just keeping the strait open."

Trump says that Iran's video of "kamikaze boats" is AI generated and calls out Iran and U.S. media companies for "putting out information that they know is false and it's a very dangerous thing for the country."

Trump says he doesn't know if the U.S. wants to make a deal with Iran as "nobody even knows who you're dealing with, because most of their leadership has been killed."

Trump says U.S. and Cuba "will pretty soon either make a deal or do whatever we have to do... we're talking to Cuba, but we're going to do Iran before Cuba."

Ukraine is demanding more money and technology in return for helping Middle Eastern nations defend themselves against Iranian drones.

President Trump says the U.S. does not need Zelensky’s help in the war against Iran and that he would be the last person they would turn to.

President Trump says an international coalition is about to send warships to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran says the “end of the war is in their hands” and is demanding full compensation from the U.S. and its withdrawal from the Persian Gulf.

Iran is considering allowing a limited number of oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, but only if the oil is paid for in Chinese yuan rather than the United States dollar.

RIVERS STATE POLICE COMMAND TO BEGIN CRACKDOWN ON TINTED VEHICLES AND UNDOCUMENTED CARS FROM MARCH 16TH 2026

The Rivers State Police Command has announced plans to begin a statewide clampdown on vehicles operating without valid registration number plates or those with covered or obscured plates starting Monday, March 16, 2026. In a statement issued on Thursday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Grace Iringe-Koko, the police said vehicles found using revolving or flashing lights without official authorization will also be impounded. According to the statement, the enforcement exercise is aimed at improving public safety, strengthening crime prevention efforts, and ensuring strict compliance with traffic regulations across the state. The Command noted that vehicles without proper identification, as well as those illegally using revolving lights, pose serious security risks and are often linked to criminal activities.
