Primate Elijah Ayodele has advised Bola Ahmed Tinubu to personally engage influential northern leaders as part of efforts to strengthen his chances for the 2027 presidential election.

According to the cleric, relying on intermediaries, including his son or the “City Boy Movement,” may not be sufficient to guarantee widespread support. He cautioned that some individuals are misleading the president about the true political stance of the North.

Ayodele urged Tinubu to disregard such assurances and confront the realities on the ground, stressing that significant opposition exists against his second-term ambition in the region.
