OGONI LGA CHAIRMAN ENFORCES MOTORCYCLE RESTRICTIONS OVER FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH LGA REGISTRATION

The Khana Local Government Area has reaffirmed that the restriction on motorcycle operations between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. remains fully in effect, urging all commercial motorcycle operators to comply with the existing directive until further notice.

According to a statement issued by Barry Neemana, Director of Press and Public Communications, the Executive Chairman had earlier met with motorcycle operators and clearly stated that the restriction would only be lifted after the complete registration of all commercial motorcycle riders in the area.

The council also emphasized that all registered operators must wear approved identification vests, while the identification numbers on the vests must correspond with the numbers assigned to their motorcycles.

The statement further clarified that contrary to circulating reports, the restriction has not been extended to 10:00 p.m., stressing that the approved operational hours remain unchanged.

Residents and motorcycle operators were advised to disregard any misinformation and continue to observe the 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. restriction pending further directives from the local government authorities.
