"THE HARDSHIP WON'T LAST FOREVER" - VICE PRESIDENT SHETTIMA ASSURES NIGERIANS OF BRIGHTER DAYS

Vice-President Kashim Shettima on Sunday reassured Nigerians that the difficulties currently facing the nation are temporary. He expressed confidence that under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu, better days lie ahead.

Shettima conveyed this message in an Easter statement released by his spokesperson, Mr. Stanley Nkwocha, in Abuja. He emphasized the administration’s dedication to peace, economic recovery, and long-term prosperity, acknowledging that the journey toward national renewal often demands both sacrifice and collective resolve.

The vice-president expressed optimism that Nigeria would overcome its present economic and security challenges. He noted that, “although Nigerians have endured difficult times with the citizens enduring significant challenges, the nation has never been defined by adversity. I remain confident that by our collective will, shared sacrifice, and abiding faith in the promise of this nation, we shall triumph over whatever challenges beset us momentarily.”

Shettima encouraged citizens to remain united and to continue supporting the ongoing reforms of the Tinubu administration. He stressed that national progress requires patience, endurance, and a shared sense of purpose.

Furthermore, the vice-president urged Nigerians to reject division and embrace the values that unite them as one people, highlighting that the country’s diversity is among its greatest strengths.

Reflecting on the significance of Easter, Shettima noted that the Christian message of sacrifice, hope, and resurrection serves as a reminder that no hardship lasts forever. He said, “Easter is a reminder that history often bends in favour of those who refuse to surrender to despair. It is the story of light piercing through darkness, of hope rising from the shadows of pa+n and of faith prevailing over fear.”
