ANI MARTINS COMMENDS SIMINALAYI FUBARA FOR BOLD DECISION TO STEP DOWN, PLEDGES CONTINUED SUPPORT FOR THE GOVERNOR

Ani Martins has praised Siminalayi Fubara for what he described as “uncommon courage, boldness, and integrity” in leadership amid the ongoing political tensions in Rivers State.

According to Martins, Governor Fubara distinguished himself by standing against the alleged embezzlement of state resources and openly disclosing the true monthly internally generated revenue (IGR) of the state to the people, a move he claimed many never expected.

He noted that despite facing opposition, intimidation, and even suspension, the governor remained focused on governance and continued to deliver projects aimed at improving the lives of Rivers people.

Martins further stated that many critics who now describe Fubara as weak may not possess the courage to confront powerful political interests the way the governor allegedly did. He added that it takes bravery to challenge the same political structure and individuals that contributed to one’s rise to power when the interest of the people is involved.

Speaking on the governor’s recent political decisions, Martins said Fubara’s willingness to step back in order to avoid violence and loss of innocent lives demonstrated wisdom, maturity, and a deep value for human life above political power.

He emphasized that leadership is not always about aggression, conflict, or revenge, but sometimes about choosing peace and stability for the benefit of the people.
Martins also declared his continued support for Governor Fubara over figures such as Nyesom Wike and Bola Tinubu, insisting that both Rivers State and Nigeria deserve leaders who prioritize humanity, transparency, and development above intimidation and selfish political interests.

He concluded by calling on Nigerians to appreciate courage in leadership and support governments that genuinely care about the welfare of the people rather than the pursuit of power alone.
