APC PRIMARIES: BUHARI'S SON DEFEATS EX-DSS DG'S SON IN DAURA REPS RACE

Yusuf Muhammadu Buhari, son of Nigeria’s late former President Muhammadu Buhari, has reportedly secured a landslide victory in the APC House of Representatives primary election for the Sandamu/Daura/Mai’adua Federal Constituency in Katsina State.

According to results gathered by Nigeria Trending Desk, Yusuf Buhari polled an overwhelming 5,849 votes to defeat his rival, Hon. Auwal Lawal Daura, who secured just 21 votes.

The outcome has since sparked widespread reactions across political circles in Katsina and beyond, with many describing the result as a dominant show of influence within the ruling APC ahead of the general elections.
