DR. FABEKE BLASTS NDDC OVER RELOCATION OF ELECTRICITY PROJECT MEANT FOR OGONI COMMUNITY

The President of the Ogoni Liberation Initiative, Fabeke Douglas, has criticized the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) over the alleged relocation of a project originally approved for Lueku Community in Khana Local Government Area, Ogoni, to the Obio/Akpor axis of Rivers State.

Dr. Fabeke, who is also an AA Senatorial aspirant, described the development as unfair and unacceptable, calling on the commission to immediately address the matter. He revealed that petitions have already been submitted to the NDDC and relevant security agencies, demanding a thorough investigation into the alleged project diversion.

The activist further stated that the Ogoni Liberation Initiative is prepared to stage a peaceful solidarity protest at the NDDC headquarters if the commission fails to respond or provide clarification on the issue within a reasonable timeframe.
