JUST IN: BEN BRUCE DENIES DISQUALIFICATION FROM APC PRIMARIES

Former Bayelsa Senator, Ben Murray-Bruce, has dismissed reports alleging that he was disqualified from the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries.

Reacting to a report published by Punch Newspaper, the former lawmaker described the claim as false and misleading, expressing shock over the publication.

According to Ben Bruce, he immediately contacted the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, to verify the situation after seeing the report online.

“I have neither withdrawn nor been disqualified,” he stated.

He further urged media organisations to prioritise accuracy and proper verification in their reportage, especially during sensitive political periods.

“These are very fluid times, and it would be in the best interest of journalistic excellence to exercise caution and verification rather than utilise speed in reportage,” he added.
