"I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE ARE CELEBRATING PRESIDENT TINUBU. TELL ME ONE THING HE HAS DONE FOR THE AVERAGE NIGERIAN." - PASTOR ODUMEJE
Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, popularly known as Odumeje, has criticized President Bola Tinubu’s administration, saying he does not understand why some Nigerians celebrate the President despite what he described as a lack of visible achievements.
Speaking during a church service, Odumeje questioned what Tinubu had accomplished since assuming office, arguing that only members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) appear to be praising his leadership.
According to the cleric, the President had promised to improve electricity supply to 24 hours a day within his first term and suggested that Nigerians should not re-elect him if he failed to fulfill that promise. He said the country continues to struggle with poor electricity, bad roads, and insecurity.
Odumeje also cited the Onitsha–Enugu road, which he said has remained under construction for years, and alleged that there is inadequate lighting around the Second Niger Bridge. He argued that these challenges discourage investment and hinder national development.
The preacher further stressed that improving infrastructure, security, and the welfare of security personnel should be top priorities for any government seeking meaningful progress. Comparing Nigeria to Burkina Faso, he urged Nigerians to look at what he described as true leadership and called for better remuneration for police officers and other security personnel.
