STUDENT UNION PRESIDENT AKANTO ASOGHO CRIES OUT OVER CONTINUE DETENTION BY CHAIRMAN'S APPOINTEE , APPEALS TO KHANA LGA CHAIRMAN FOR HELP

Former Student Union President and social media activist, Akanto Asogho, has cried out to the Chairman of Khana Local Government Area, Hon. Thomas Bariere DSSRS CNA, over his continued detention masterminded by Ledornubari Barry Teeligi an appointee of the council chairman,

Speaking with Wazobia FM during a Facebook broadcast, Asogho revealed that he is currently being detained at the Port Harcourt Maximum Prison over allegations which, according to him, have not been clearly stated.

He appealed to the Khana LGA Chairman and members of the public to intervene and come to his aid, expressing concern over his continued detention.

Asogho urged relevant authorities and concerned individuals to look into his situation and ensure that justice is served.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to immediately approach the court to vacate the order freezing the accounts of the Osun State Government and to discontinue related actions. Idum Felix, a filmmaker and media personality has appealed to the Chairman of the council, Dr. Thomas Bariere, to look into the alleged arrest and continued detention of former student union president and social media activist, Akanto Asogho. In an open appeal addressed to the chairman of Khana LGA, Idum Felix acknowledged that disagreements, criticism and opposition are natural parts of democracy, stressing that such differences should not become grounds for denying anyone their fundamental rights.
