"I CAN'T REMEMBER THE LAST TIME I APPROACHED A WOMAN IN BROAD DAYLIGHT," - SINGER MAYORKUN SAYS

Nigerian singer Mayorkun has revealed that he cannot remember the last time he approached a woman in broad daylight, estimating that it has been almost nine years.

Speaking during a recent interview, the singer recounted a conversation with one of his big bros, who asked him and others when they last approached a woman during the day.

“I was having a conversation with one of, like, my big bros, and he asked us one question that when was the last time we spoke to a girl in broad daylight? What type of girl are you going to meet in the night?” he said.

Mayorkun explained that he could not answer the question because he struggled to remember the last time he saw a woman during the day and approached her.

“When he asked me that question, I no get answer. I can’t remember the last time that sun was shining and I saw a babe and I said, ‘Ah, I want to talk to…’ Almost like nine years now,” he added.

The singer also referenced a Yoruba saying about wrongdoing taking place at night before questioning the idea of meeting a potential partner at such hours.

“Yoruba will say evil is always carried out at night. What’s a responsible person still doing outside at 1:am is that the kind of person you want to get married to? Dey play,” he said.

Mayorkun concluded saying, “So until then, sha. But for now, let all of us just be.”
