IF YOU DON'T DELIVER YOUR STATE AND THE PRESIDENT WINS, DON'T SAY WE HAVE WON - FCT MINISTER WIKE

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has pledged to ensure massive votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Rivers State and the FCT ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Wike made the declaration while speaking about his assignment to coordinate political activities in the two areas, expressing confidence that they would deliver votes for Tinubu.

“For me as an opposition party member, as the leader of the People’s Democratic Party. There are not two leaders of the PDP. I am the leader of the PDP. So I speak on behalf of the People’s Democratic Party,” he said.

The minister disclosed that he had seen his name listed for the coordination of Rivers State and the FCT, describing the task as straightforward.

“Your excellency, the assignment is simple. I opened Leadership today, and I saw my name, and I was told that I’m going to coordinate FCT and Rivers. Simple. Not too much work for me. It’s Rivers and FCT,” Wike stated.

He subsequently pledged to deliver both areas for Tinubu in the next presidential election.

“And let me say, I pledge, by the grace of God, Rivers and FCT will vote massively for Bola Ahmed Tinubu. That is my joy. I have only two assignments: Rivers and FCT,” he said.

Wike also warned against celebrating victory without fulfilling assigned responsibilities, stressing that political supporters must ensure their states deliver votes for the president.

“And I want to say here, if you don’t deliver your state and the president wins, don’t say we have won,” he added.
