MY OPPOSITION CREATED HUNGER AND POVERTY; WE ARE TRYING TO ERADICATE IT - TINUBU
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has accused the opposition of creating hunger and poverty in Nigeria, insisting that his administration is working to address the challenges.
Speaking at a political campaign event, Tinubu said, “I hear my opponent talking about hunger, poverty. Who created it? They did. They created the hunger, they created the poverty. We are trying to eradicate it.”
The President defended his administration’s performance, stating that salaries are being paid regularly while praising APC governors for their developmental efforts.
“We pay salaries regularly. Our governors are working. I am proud of them. They are developing,” he said.
Tinubu also promised Nigerians prosperity in his second term and urged them to participate in the 2027 elections, asking supporters whether they had their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
“So you, the children of our country, it’s a promise of the second term, prosperity. You will not regret going to the polls. Do you have your PVC? Show your hands,” he added.
