WOMAN RAISED CONCERN OVER RISING DEATHS AMONG MEN, CITES MARITAL STRESS AND LACK OF SUPPORT
A woman has raised concerns over what she described as the high number of men dying in society, urging women to provide greater emotional and moral support to their husbands.
Speaking at a man’s burial, the woman pointed to obituary posters displayed around the burial ground, claiming that men appeared to account for a larger proportion of the deceased than women.
She expressed concern that some men endure significant emotional and psychological stress due to marital challenges, arguing that a lack of support from their wives could worsen their struggles.
“To all the men at this burial ground, if you observe the obituary posters around us, you will notice that out of every 10 people who have died, about eight are men and only two are women. This is a big problem in our society, and it needs to be addressed,” she said.
The woman further argued that stress could contribute to some deaths, cautioning against assuming that every death occurs simply because a person's time has come.
She also criticised what she described as infidelity and a lack of commitment in some marriages, alleging that some women engage in extramarital affairs or fail to support their husbands during difficult times.
She urged women to prioritise their marriages, support their partners, and avoid actions that could place additional emotional burdens on their husbands.
However, her claims about the proportion of men and women dying, as well as the alleged link between marital stress and deaths, were not independently verified.
