“My girlfriend and i have been together for five years. We shared dreams, made promises, and planned a future together. 

I loved her with everything and truly believed we would grow old side by side and because i wanted her to succeed, I made one of the biggest sacr!ficès of my life. 

I dropped out of Unilag to support her education and sponsor her to school in UK. I believed her success was our success, and i was willing to give up my own dreams just to see her happy.

At first, we stayed in touch after she moved to UK and i kept holding on to the hope that distance would never change what we had. I worked hard and did everything i could to keep supporting her emotionally and financially. 

But after some months of living in the UK, she slowly became distant. The calls reduced, the messages became cold, and one day i found out from her younger sister that she had gotten married to a white man without even telling me. 

It felt like my whole world collapsed in a single moment.

The pain became even worse when she bl0cked my number completely, leaving me with no explanation, no closure, and no way to reach her.
 
After everything we shared, every sacr!f!ce i made, and every dream i bur!ed for her sake, I was left heartbroken and empty.

Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has approved the promotion of civil servants across all levels in the State Civil Service. The approval is conveyed in a circular issued by the Rivers State Civil Service Commission and signed by the Permanent Secretary, James Enebeli.  According to the circular titled “Call for Recommendation for Promotion”, Ministries, Departments, and Agencies are directed to forward names of officers due for promotion between January and July 2026 to the commission for consideration.  The commission said the promotion exercise will cover officers on Grade Levels 07 to 15 who qualified within the period under review.
