"I CELEBRATE WHEN PEOPLE DIVORCE BECAUSE IT SHOWS THAT ONE OR BOTH PARTNERS WERE NOT BREATHING WELL IN THE MARRIAGE" - COMEDIAN BOVI

Nigerian comedian and actor Bovi Ugboma has said he celebrates some divorces, explaining that the end of a marriage can sometimes be the best outcome when people are no longer happy or thriving in the relationship.

Speaking on The Morayo Show, Bovi said he does not believe anyone should remain in a marriage where they are suffering, stressing that both partners deserve a healthy and fulfilling union.

“I celebrate when people get divorced because I feel it means one or two people were not breathing well inside that space. I will not suffer anybody, neither will I want anybody to suffer me.”

The comedian, who revealed that he got married at the age of 29, reflected on his own 17-year marriage, noting that despite its longevity, he cannot describe it as easy.

“That’s not to say my marriage has been easy for 17 years. It has not. That’s a long time. I got married at 29 and have been the sole provider”
