MAN SEVERELY BEATEN AFTER A WOMAN LIED HE STOLE HER N2.5 MILLION

A young man identified as Ekene Agala was allegedly beaten and nearly lynched by estate security personnel and angry residents after a woman accused him of stealing ₦2.5 million.

According to initial claims, the woman insisted there was CCTV footage proving Ekene's involvement in the alleged theft. Despite repeatedly maintaining his innocence, the crowd reportedly ignored his pleas and subjected him to a brutal assault.

However, the case has taken a dramatic turn. The woman has reportedly withdrawn her earlier claim about the existence of CCTV footage. She now alleges that there was never any video evidence and instead claims that a young child witnessed Ekene taking the money.

The conflicting accounts have sparked fresh questions about the circumstances surrounding the allegation and the mob attack, with many calling for a thorough investigation to establish the facts and ensure justice is served.
