Media personality Tunde Perry has sparked reactions after revealing an unusual arrangement in his marriage during a recent TikTok Live session with a female guest.

Speaking humorously, Tunde Perry disclosed that his wife gives him one “free day” every month to go out, relax and enjoy himself without being disturbed. According to him, he chooses the date at the beginning of each month, and once it is fixed, his wife does not call or check up on him while he is away.

“My wife gives me one free day in a month to go out and chill. We’ve been married for about 10 years, so we understand ourselves. I choose the date from the beginning of the month,” he said.

He added that after returning home, he is expected to make up for his absence by helping with household chores, joking that his wife temporarily confiscates his phones and puts him to work around the house.

According to Tunde Perry, the arrangement has strengthened their marriage and helped eliminate any desire to take another wife.

“You must have that kind of understanding so you can enjoy your relationship. It’s not good to have two or three wives,” he said.

When the host jokingly asked what would happen if one of his outings led to another relationship, Tunde Perry dismissed the suggestion, insisting he had no intention of breaking the rules.

“How will I go out next month to enjoy again?” he replied jokingly.

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the de@th of 23-year-old Faith Ajoke Alayande, a student of the Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus, Victoria Island. Alayande was reportedly found de@d within the hostel premises on Friday, August 7, 2026, after she allegedly jumped from the rooftop of a four-storey hostel building. According to the police, a s¥ic+de note was reportedly discovered by her hostel mate and a relative, who began searching for her before she was allegedly found after the incident. The matter was reported to the Victoria Island Police Division by the hostel’s Chief Matron at about 6:30 a.m. Police officers subsequently visited the scene and evacuated Alayande’s body to a morgue for preservation.
