"RWGBLOG NEWS IS NOT SPONSORING THE CRISIS IN OGONILAND." - MEDIA PERSONNEL, LUSTER BRIGHT

A concerned media observer has urged residents of Ogoniland to develop a better understanding of how media organizations operate, stressing that not every issue should be blamed on bloggers or media platforms.

Speaking on recent criticisms directed at Rwgblog News, the commentator expressed concern over allegations that the blog is being sponsored to create tension in Ogoniland. According to him, such accusations are often based on misconceptions about the role of media organizations.

Referring to the ongoing public exchanges involving Chief Gani Topba and Chief Lesi Maol, he noted that many people have accused Rwgblog News of being responsible for the allegations circulating against Chief Lesi Maol. However, he maintained that media platforms merely report and publicize information rather than create it.

He explained that media organizations, bloggers, and social media managers operate as businesses whose primary objective is to provide visibility and publicity while generating revenue. He added that individuals and organizations regularly engage media platforms to promote their activities and messages.

According to him, one of the strengths of Rwgblog News is its commitment to sharing verified stories without claiming ownership of the information it publishes. He emphasized that paying a media platform for publicity does not mean the platform or its associates are responsible for any controversy arising from the content.

The media practitioner further stated that anyone who feels wrongly accused through a media platform has the right to approach the organization involved and present their side of the story. He noted that the responsibility of a media outlet is to make information accessible and visible to the public.

He therefore called on residents to stop blaming individuals associated with media organizations for simply carrying out their professional responsibilities. Instead, he urged the public to appreciate the role of the media in promoting transparency and public discourse.

Concluding, he described Rwgblog News as one of the most professional blogs operating in the area, commending its objectivity and commitment to balanced news reporting.
