Popular singer Davido has left those around him laughing after sharing a hilarious but seemingly serious warning about helping people.

“In life, you never know where your kindness can take you,” Davido said. “It can either take you up or down.”

But just when it seemed like he was about to deliver a motivational speech, the 30BG crooner switched things up and dropped the line that takes one into deep thinking.

“That is why when you help people, always keep receipts. Don’t play with me,” he added.

Apparently, according to Davido, helping people is good, but make sure you have evidence to show for it.

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested a 101-year-old great-grandmother for dealing in illicit drugs and also intercepted cocaine concealed in edible cassava flour popularly known as fufu. In a rare and startling development, NDLEA operatives on Saturday, August, arrested a 101-year-old woman, Esther Ogunmabo, in Ilisan, Ogun state, with retail sachets of skunk, a strain of cannabis weighing 90 grams, which she claims she sells to locals. The centenarian told operatives that she resorted to the illicit drug trade after her provisions shop was razed by fire, adding that one of her daughters, who resides in Lagos, arranges the supply of the substance to her every four days, which she in turn sold in bits. The Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of NDLEA, Brig Gen Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), has, however, directed that the suspect be granted bail and placed on counselling because of her advanced age, while her daughter has been arrested.

WHATSAPP TO START CHARGING NIGERIA BUSINESSES FROM OCTOBER 2026

Businesses using Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform will begin paying for certain customer messages from October 1, 2026, following a new pricing structure announced by the company. The new policy applies primarily to organisations that use the WhatsApp Business Platform, formerly known as the WhatsApp Business API, to handle customer communications at scale. However, regular WhatsApp users and small businesses using the standard WhatsApp Business app are not the primary targets of the new charges.
