"GENERAL SANI ABACHA DIED OF CARDIAC ARREST DURING INTERCOURSE, NOT POISONED APPLES." - EX-DSS OPERATIVE

Former Assistant Director of the Department of State Services (DSS), Dennis Amachree, has claimed that late military ruler Gen. Sani Abacha d+ed during an intimate encounter with his girlfriend’s younger sister.

The allegation is contained in Amachree’s newly released memoir, DSS @40: My Journey Behind the Shield, where he recounted what he described as the events leading to Abacha’s d+ath on June 8, 1998.

According to him, “At approximately 2.40 a.m., shortly after Gen. Useni left, Abacha’s girlfriend, an Igbo lady (name withheld), arrived at the Aso Rock Guest House from the Nicon Noga Hilton Hotel.

“With her was her younger sister, a pharmacist who was in Abuja for a conference. The Head of State had just bought his girlfriend a new SUV, and they decided to stop by to say hello to ‘Oga’.

Abacha was taken with the younger sister, and after a short while, the girlfriend returned to the hotel, leaving the pharmacist alone with the Head of State.
At about 4.05 a.m., as they were getting intimate, the pharmacist realised Abacha had stopped moving. She called out to him, but he was unresponsive and stiff. She checked his pulse; there was none.”

Amachree alleged the woman left the villa, returned to her hotel and later flew to Lagos before security officials became aware of the incident.

He said he later interrogated the pharmacist, whose first words were, “I did not k+ll him, he d+ed on top of me.”

Amachree added, “My team located and brought her to my office. I interrogated her myself.
The first thing she said to me was: ‘I did not k+ll him, he d+ed on top of me.’ After her detailed account, I called the Director in Abuja, and she was immediately flown back.

The lady pharmacist’s account, on whom Abacha apparently had a coitus-induced cardiac arrest, remains the true position, and puts an end to the conspiracy theories and half-truths that have gone viral.”

Abacha ruled Nigeria from November 1993 until his d+ath in June 1998. His sudden d+ath has remained the subject of speculation and conspiracy

Businesses using Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform will begin paying for certain customer messages from October 1, 2026, following a new pricing structure announced by the company. Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested a 101-year-old great-grandmother for dealing in illicit drugs and also intercepted cocaine concealed in edible cassava flour popularly known as fufu. In a rare and startling development, NDLEA operatives on Saturday, August, arrested a 101-year-old woman, Esther Ogunmabo, in Ilisan, Ogun state, with retail sachets of skunk, a strain of cannabis weighing 90 grams, which she claims she sells to locals. A 31-year-old mother, Kenya Glasgow, and her two-year-old daughter, Kennedi, have been k+lled by lightning during a thunderstorm in Margate, south-east Florida. The Ogoni Dialogue Committee, ODC, has denied claims that it influenced the allocation of 40 job slots at the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, or played any role in the award of government contracts. Speaking at a press conference in Port Harcourt, ODC Chairman, Professor Don Baridam, said the 40 employment opportunities were proposed as part of confidence-building measures in the Ogoni dialogue with the Federal Government.
