WORLD'S YOUNGEST MONARCH, KING OYO OF UGANDA WHO BECAME KING AT JUST 3-YEARS-OLD D+ES AT 34

King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, the traditional ruler of Uganda’s Tooro Kingdom and recognised by Guinness World Records as the world’s youngest reigning monarch, has d+ed at the age of 34.

The monarch, who ascended the throne at just three years old in 1995 following the de@th of his father, passed away on Thursday, according to Tooro Kingdom’s Prime Minister, Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire Akiiki.

The cause of de@th was not disclosed. However, local media quoted an Ugandan government minister as saying King Oyo had been critically ill and receiving medical treatment in the United States.

Announcing his de@th, Akiiki described the monarch’s passing as an “immeasurable loss” to the royal family and the people of Tooro, urging them to remain united, calm and prayerful.

King Oyo was not officially married, but the prime minister assured the people that the succession of the crown was secured.

According to Akiiki, the late monarch left behind a prince who will succeed him, with the heir’s identity to be formally announced at the appropriate time in accordance with the traditions and customs of the Tooro Kingdom.

ASU EKIYE CLARIFIES CIRCUMSTANCES SURROUNDING DIVORCE

Gospel music minister Asu Ekiye has offered clarification on the circumstances surrounding the dissolution of his 28-year marriage, following numerous calls and messages seeking to understand what led to the separation. In a statement, Ekiye explained that the decision to end the marriage was not initiated by him, but by his wife, who, according to him, expressed her desire to end the relationship, moved out of their home and subsequently commenced divorce proceedings. President Bola Tinubu has ordered the arrest of one George Buchi Nwabueze and suspended three permanent secretaries after the anti graft agency ICPC uncovered another fake agency operating within the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation. ICPC Chairman Musa Aliyu, made this known after briefing the President for the second consecutive day this week.   He says the agency , National Brands Development and Made-in-Nigeria Special Project Office was uncovered while investigating the fake Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council. The Ogoni Dialogue Committee, ODC, has denied claims that it influenced the allocation of 40 job slots at the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, or played any role in the award of government contracts. A 31-year-old mother, Kenya Glasgow, and her two-year-old daughter, Kennedi, have been k+lled by lightning during a thunderstorm in Margate, south-east Florida. Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested a 101-year-old great-grandmother for dealing in illicit drugs and also intercepted cocaine concealed in edible cassava flour popularly known as fufu. In a rare and startling development, NDLEA operatives on Saturday, August, arrested a 101-year-old woman, Esther Ogunmabo, in Ilisan, Ogun state, with retail sachets of skunk, a strain of cannabis weighing 90 grams, which she claims she sells to locals. The centenarian told operatives that she resorted to the illicit drug trade after her provisions shop was razed by fire, adding that one of her daughters, who resides in Lagos, arranges the supply of the substance to her every four days, which she in turn sold in bits.
